Not to sound like annoying mod wannabe, but you'll probably get a better response in the
Hardware
forum rather than the Files chat forum. You can also ask for it to be moved.
(moved as I edited it )
(Meh , I thought that only applied if they were actually trying to cross post. I edited shortly after. Not even sure where the suggestion to lock it came from. I think I originally intended to suggest that he have it locked. I know better.) |

anyway, as far as the macbook goes...
my friend has been looking up on laptops n stuff recently and you might wanna take a look at the
HP Envy
. I'm not sure if having the mac OS is really a main POI that you are thinking about but now the windows 7 is out there isnt much difference.
if you'd rather not be thinkin introducing new systems to the already apparent confusion then i can suggest that the macbooks that I have encountered have all been very clean, very responsive, very durable (aluminium body), very productive and quite stylish. They cost a bit for what they are hardware wise but thats just mac for ya.
if your ever gonna get a mac, get it from the US now coz its the right time (assuming they dont release a new refresh in 6 months - do some research)
good luck |

if youre really looking for a good laptop, from a company with exceptional customer service i would shoot for asus or msi... i really dont think the price per performance can be beat...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220637
that notebook costs 540 euros, and i guarantee its specs beat anything even near its price range coming from apple... not to mention any time i had to send mine in for warranty work, it literally was at my house 4 days after i sent it out, they pay for overnight both ways. and there is one year accidental coverage as well... only a 24 month warranty whereas MSIs is a 36 month, but the accidental is a nice perk as you can always chuck it at the ground right before the warranty is over and get a brand new one... |

it really depends upon what you want to do.
If you want to game...... forget it.
If you want to upgrade more than the internal drive and memory forget it.
On the other hand I use Mac since 1984 and have always been satisfied.
The Mac has many areas of use that it is just perfect simple and intuitive. The ability to run multiple systems is a plus but not the answer.
The real issue with Mac is its limitations in that a lot of specialized software is written for the MS operating system and using bootcamp to run windows to access this software is only a solution.
I think they are great but are they better is mute. They are great at they do and thats it.
If you want to do more than PC has more versatility.
The saving grace for Mac is bootcamp as hard drive space is large and cheap so with one item multiple systems is convenient. |
