i'm fairly new to torrents, but this didn't really help. the great thing about torrents is it's easier to spot the shit than in stuff like limewire...it's mostly common sense for me...and to be honest, this would be better fit in a forum post than a download...i've read the comment that posted on here and even though it saved me mere seconds, it saved me seconds nonetheless...but i must say that it is kinda f**ked for you to come down on people who aren't praising you like a messiah...granted, some people are being a bunch of dicks, but most are just saying they didn't find it useful...like the second or so comment just stated non-aggressive complaints and you totally flamed him...also, your constant presence in the comment board is kinda not lookin' good for you. why do you want to draw so much attention from something? you did something helpful. cool. that's that, don't waste your own time with this board of crap and do your thing. find something else to help out if ya want.

There have been a lot of jerks posting fake torrents using the names AXXO and FXG. You can tell these are fakes before they post DVD copies of movies that haven't even been released in theathers. I laughed two months ago when I saw stuff being posted under using the name AXXO, such as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince; Transformer 2 and other summer blockbusters. Wish there was a way of reporting these fakes to the moderators.

Just search FxG or AxxO so that u wont get any fake files and read all teh comments.

That doesn't always work though. Say it's a Trojan isolated in a file. Restoring the system will not delete the virus, because It does not delete the file. The only time that works is when a virus is not attached to anything and is idle... usually like a worm or spyware.

A few things I can say here, and will say here.

1.) Stop Flaming. Direct quote off of my forum stamp "Just because I hate something, doesn't make it sucky. You know why? Because I am not all of the people in the world. And the same applies to you, SERIOUSLY."

2.) I am sure there is a chance of fakers finding this torrent, but you know how unlikely that CHANCE is? 95% fakes are mass uploaded or auto uploaded. Either by individual little kids who find it funny to wreck your computer, or by groups who want your information. Do you truly think for a second they are going to look around for this shit before uploading? And even so, would you think they cared? There are enough idiots I am sure out there, that they have no doubt they can catch.

3.) Even if it is infected with spyware, or that malicious pest we call a "Trojan", bittorrent has a chance of seeding the malicious code out. And even after that, use AVG FREE and scan it before you open it. If the file isn't opened, than the Trojan is isolated and inactive. Trojans can onlu "Jump" to your hard drive and then to other files when the file hosting it is open. After it jumps, who knows where the hell it went. Scan BEFORE you open! Right click the file and select "Scan with AVG FREE". AVG FREE does a Shell Extension test, which tests the code for any Malicious Code (anything programmed to automatically enter your SYS or folders like SYSTEM 32.) It does all of this without opening the file, so the Trojan is not activated. If it comes back with malicious code, delete immediately. DO NOT OPEN THE FILE.

4.) Lastly, I do agree that this .torrent could be seen as irrelevant. But you know what, he tried. He informed us of something, and looking at the number of THANKS it probably to some extent works. Give him some credit, instead of being complete ass holes.

btw FBJ: Peer Guardian 2 is a way to keep unwanted organizations from viewing your computer activity, not a way to keep out fake torrents. What you download is completely un effected by PG2. It is useful for keeping unwanted educational servers and government servers off of your system =)
